Critique Group Mentors and Leaders
Wanted: experienced
writers to mentor beginning-writer critique groups. People
willing to lead a critique group.
Illustrators Coordinator
Help plan events and services
of special interest to illustrators in our area.
Member Promotion Coordinator
Be the point person for
all things related to helping our published members promote their work.
Ideas include, but are not limited to: collect
info for a web page of published books, keep track of and publicize
book signings, gather information on new releases, and notify our membership.
Newsletter Contributors
Our newsletter editor is always on the lookout for illustrations and
articles for the newsletter. Share your talents.
Network Volunteers
We are looking for volunteers in “hubs” throughout the
state who are willing to lead or coordinate workshops, schmoozes, seminars,
etc. We have our first Network volunteer in the Wichita area!
Resource Coordinator
Help compile resources and distribute resources helpful to our membership.
School Visit/Speaker Database
Compile and maintain a list of authors and illustrators in our state
who are available for school visits and speaking engagements. Work
with Member Promotion Coordinator to notify Kansas schools and libraries
of the database.
Volunteer for an Event
If you would like to volunteer, but don’t have time for a full-time
position, let us know you’d like to help: at our next conference,
or retreat, or ?. We’ll contact you prior to our next event and
find a job that’s just right for you.
We are open to ideas! If you are passionate about something that
is not listed here, if you have an area of expertise we haven’t
thought of, let us know!
Our region can be as big as we imagine, but we can’t do it
without YOU!
