Why become a member of SCBWI?

The main organization has a host of resources only for members. For a small annual fee, you may attend international conferences at a reduced rate -- these conference put you in direct contact with agents, editors, art directors, and publishers, and it's one of the best ways to understand current publishing trends and the industry.

The main organization also provides a number of awards and grants to recognize and support writers and artists for children.

What is SCBWI?

A professional association recognized by the publishing community; Board of Advisors includes Judy Blume, Walter Dean Meyers, Jane Yolen, Arthur A. Levine.
